아/어 있다 means “is in a state”. (done + still now)
Form

- 문 열다 → 문이 열려 있어요

When to use
Done, and still now
- 문이 열려 있어요. (the door is open)
- 불이 켜져 있어요. (the light is on)
Someone is in a position

Compare with 고 있다
- 문을 열고 있어요. (opening now)
