Difference between record and number in Korean
기록·번호

기록record
A record (기록) is information that is written down and kept for later. At school, it can mean a student's grades, attendance, or other important information. It can also mean a written note of something that happened, like a study log or a sports result.

번호number
The word "number" means a numeral or a set of digits used to identify something. In Korean, 번호 often means a phone number, seat number, bus number, or student number. You use it when you ask for or tell the number of something in everyday life. At school, it can also mean your class number or student number.
The difference
번호 is just a number, like a student number or page number. 기록 is a full saved record, which may include numbers, names, and notes.
