Difference between record and story in Korean
기록·이야기

기록record
A record (기록) is information that is written down and kept for later. At school, it can mean a student's grades, attendance, or other important information. It can also mean a written note of something that happened, like a study log or a sports result.

이야기story
이야기 means "story" or "talk." You can use it for a story in a book, a tale someone tells, or the thing people are talking about. It is a very common word in daily Korean, especially in phrases like "tell a story," "hear a story," and "talk about something."
The difference
이야기 is something you tell or hear, often for fun or to share events. 기록 is factual information written down and kept.
