Difference between parents and mother in Korean

"Parents" means your mother and father together. In Korean, 부모 can talk about your own parents or someone else’s parents. It is often used when speaking about family, home, school, and daily life.
어머니mother
어머니 means "mother" in a polite and respectful way. Korean speakers use it when talking about their own mother politely or when speaking about someone else's mother. In everyday family talk, people also often say "mom," but 어머니 sounds more respectful.
The difference
어머니 means your mother, one parent. 부모 means both parents as a pair.
