When to use continuation in Korean

When to use it

연속 means something continues without a break, or happens one after another. It is often used when the same action happens many times, like "two times in a row" or "three days in a row." You will often see it with a number or with the form 연속으로.

1. 저는 집에서 연속으로 두 편의 영화를 봤어요.

   I watched two movies in a row at home.

2. 민수는 학교에 연속 3일 늦었어요.

   Minsu was late to school for three days in a row.

3. 비가 연속으로 두 시간 왔어요.

   It rained for two hours straight.

4. 엄마가 제 이름을 연속으로 세 번 불렀어요.

   Mom called my name three times in a row.

5. 이 가게는 연속으로 세일을 해요.

   This store has sales one after another.

6. 기차가 연속으로 두 번 늦었어요.

   The train was late twice in a row.
