When to use consciousness in Korean
Korean: 의식[ ui-sik ]

When to use it
의식 means consciousness: the state of being awake and able to notice and respond to things around you. It is often used when someone faints, wakes up, or when people check if a person can respond. You will often hear it in phrases like lose consciousness, regain consciousness, or be conscious.

체육 시간에 친구가 넘어져서 의식을 잃었어요.
In PE class, my friend fell and lost consciousness.
가게 앞에서 한 사람이 쓰러졌지만 곧 의식을 찾았어요.
