When to use direction in Korean

When to use it

Direction means the way to go or the side something is facing. You use 방향 when asking or telling where to go, especially on roads, maps, buses, and trains. It is a very useful word for travel and finding places.

Example sentences

1. 우리 집에서 역은 이 방향이에요.

   From my house, the station is in this direction.

2. 학교 방향으로 가는 버스를 탔어요.

   I took a bus going toward the school.

3. 어느 방향으로 가야 해요?

   Which direction should I go?

4. 이 방향으로 쭉 가세요.

   Go straight in this direction.

5. 마트는 이 방향으로 가면 있어요.

   If you go this way, there is a mart.
